1. DAVINA LOVERIDGE
Stained glass: exploring light and colour with the fragility of glass which, when combined in a leaded structure can become a robust architectural panel for a door/window. I work from my original designs drawn mostly from the natural world. In my garden, there is a wall mosaic produced during lockdown.
Also my Studio, displaying smaller panels showing the use of silver stain and paint on glass. Alongside ongoing work, I'm happy to demonstrate the process of creating stained glass.

I use computers to create digital pictures, working with shapes, geometric transformations, materials and lighting. My commitment to the medium is driven by a fascination with the mathematical patterns that lie at the heart of the natural world.
Starting with the challenge of modelling flowers and other natural objects, my first pieces were inspired by traditional Spanish and Dutch still-life painting. In more recent work I have started to explore spaces that exist only in the imagination.
